fresh love

I'm feeling a bit like a zombie today. I called Allison at about 2am and didn't get off the phone 'till 8:30am. Needless to say, I didn't sleep. Then my mum brought me breakfast and coffee, helped me pack for a couple hours, and then I took a short nap. I was woken up by my new roomie and the kid to take a load over to the house. My brain just isn't working today. It took waaaaay to long for one trip with my couch, a chair, matress, coffee table and shelf. Now I'm waiting for my dad's truck so I can finish moving all my stuff. I own entirely too much stuff for a bachelor.

Fresh love makes one do stupid things.

It may seem like you do more stupid things ....But doesnt the other part feel incredible?

Congratulations on the move. It sounds like it will be a little bit of an adjustment. But if it works out the way you describe it also sounds as if it will be very worth it.

I sort of envy you Drew. You are at least moving in a forward direction..while I seem to be only able to tread water.

It does feel good. Except I did it again last night. 6:45am. Two hours of sleep in two days. I ended up sleeping way too long.

As for how you feel, treading water builds endurance... be patient I suppose.

Boy you are young..you can sleep when youre old and no longer have any hope of possiblities.
*smile*

I never thought of it that way. I guess endurance is a good thing. I have been told I do have that bulldog quality about me..never let go or give up. lol

when are they starting to build your place?

p.x. it's ok to have alot of things. that just means your not lame.... well at least to me anyways... and i'm pretty sure my opinion counts for like 78% of the population.

I'll get engineering and permits done once the financing is taken care of. At this point I am not sure how long that will take, but I fully expect that it will be about six months before we break ground, sometime in the spring. Refinancing will be done at the end of the year, and that will be the final go/no go decision. And my bro, a friend and I will do much of the work.. probably everything except foundation, plumbing and electric.

As for having a lot of stuff, I am a minimalist, so all that to me is a hinderance. I mean, honestly, does a bachelor need three full sets of dishes? No. I got rid of a bunch of stuff. But picture me moving from a two bedroom apt. to one bedroom. What else can I do? And once I build my place, much of the old will not go with. Like my couch. It's ugly.
