The fear of success is overwhealming. This has me worried about the ever present reality of a real career.
Drew,
Thanks for coming in today. I appreciated your Dad coming along also. Tell
him "thanks" for me. We will be happy to help you continue your flying
training, and we look forward to you joining the Commercial class this Fall
term. Once you are enrolled, we will work on either challenging the private
pilot and instrument or waiving the class since you have already completed
those ratings.
To confirm our discussion today, I would recommend that you enroll in the
general education classes listed on the Curriculum sheet for the first term.
You will be ahead of the program on the flying side and that may enable you
to become an instructor by the end of the first year with us, which would be
a good thing. You could then compete for a CFI assignment with The Flight
Shop while you finish the second year of classes, and be gaining flight
hours where ever and whenever you can get a flight. Employment with The
Flight Shop will be very competitive and is not within our control, but one
of our goals is to have our top graduates working in the program to the
extent that it is practical.
http://new.cocc.edu/Getting+Started/default.aspx is the website that will
take you through the next step in enrolling in the program. You will need
to talk to Dr. Ross Tomlin sometime when you are on campus. Please contact
him as soon as possible.

Let me know if you have any questions or encounter any problems.
We are looking forward to working with you.
