So I loaned out my book I wrote in Europe to a buddy of mine, and that's why I haven't gotten anywhere with it. He has since informed me how messed up it really is, and, in fact, scary. It is pretty fucking scary, and for sure messed up. I can't really decide if it is actually a good idea to go back and re-surface all that history. It's a bucket of bad eggs, and facing it is ugly. I have an ugly past, and probably an ugly future (all due to my faults). Some day I will really pay for my short comings and ignorant youthfulness. So I wonder if I should close the book on my dark past and face the future free of inhibitions...free of things that may just impede me. Should I forget and move on? Anyone have advice? I am concerned that facing my past is just detrimental to my future.
